Your highest score represents your dominant set of characteristics; how you feel about your inner-self and how others see you. Here are brief sketches of each of the four quadrants to help you interpret your score(s).
Quadrant 1: Score
Inner Self: A self-controlled person who is thoughtful and observant. Likes to have facts at his/her fingertips; goes into detail and requires accuracy from self and others. Has a lot of common-sense but also tend towards being a perfectionist. Surprises and any unpredictability or ambiguity is disliked and makes him/her feel a little anxious or uncertain.
Outer-Self (as seen by others): A sensible person who is prudent and nearly always under self-control. Others see the person as someone genuine who can be trusted. The calm exterior gives the person an aura of quiet sophistication/elegance. They are seen as ‘neat and tidy’ and industrious.
At Work: Reliable and efficient; analytical; suitable management material.
Quadrant 2: Score
Inner Self: An idealist with a sense of adventure. They are intuitive and can make decisions quickly and sometimes impulsively. They enjoy change and feel somewhat restless in a stable and routine environment. These individuals like to have fun! They tend to ignore or brush-over facts and details, preferring to see the ‘big-picture’.
Outer-Self (as seen by others): An energetic person who is full of life and passionate about things. Such individuals are seen as dynamic and charismatic. Their highly developed communication skills add to their air of friendliness. However, they are also seen as assertive and competitive, which sometimes comes over as stubbornness and can get a little ‘touchy’ if things not going their way. These individuals are risk-takers.
At Work: Are seen as creative and imaginative, with an ability to come-up with unorthodox solutions to problems. They are assertive and competitive in the work environment; suitable for a wide range of management/leadership positions where creativity, charisma and/or vision required.
Quadrant 3: Score
Inner Self: A thoughtful and analytical person who likes to scrutinize problems, but then has ‘Eureka’ moments when intuitive solutions are found. These individuals have a secure set of ethical values to guide their lives and are generally quite forgiving. They are continually interested in self-improvement and learning. They are persons who like the responsibility of decision-making, but are also task-orientated and can come over as insensitive to others’ feelings in certain circumstances. These individuals get bored easily and can readily feel disappointment and frustration if projects are somehow thwarted.
Outer-Self (as seen by others): A reliable person who remains calm and self-assured in a variety of circumstances. They are seen as principled, friendly and generous. They are approachable and unpretentious. These individuals are looked upon as good organisers and somewhat ingenious because of seemingly intuitive problem solving.
At Work: Reliable and efficient; analytical; flexible and supportive of colleagues; suitable management material.
Quadrant 4: Score
Inner Self: A hard-headed person who is persistent and persevering. They have a core-sense of courage and honesty. They have intensity about whatever they are undertaking but have the ability to remain detached from situations. These individuals are ‘hands-on’. They are naturally curious and have artistic leanings. These individuals value accuracy and like to pay attention to detail; they are at home with facts and figures. Tend to get anxious in ambiguous or unpredictable situations.
Outer-Self (as seen by others): Seen as an outgoing, cheerful individual, friendly, generous and light-hearted. Charmingly straightforward their spontaneity is seen as spirited and playful. They come over as energetic and bold, but can also seem to be obsessive sometimes.
At Work: These individuals set high standards for quality, accuracy and deadlines. They are nevertheless outgoing and sociable; suitable for leadership and ‘champion’ positions.
